2023 Certificate and Wallet Card Changes

Beginning January 1, 2023, our certificate and wallet card policies and procedures will be updated. These changes are implemented to provide credentialing material to practitioners in a timelier manner, allow repeated access to material throughout the current credential cycle and is also a step towards NBRC’s social responsibility for a safer environment.

First-time credential holders will be able to:

  • Have immediate access to an electronic certificate for the credential earned in the Practitioner Portal.
  • Request a printed certificate and wallet card through the Practitioner Portal at no cost within one year of when the credential is earned.

Credential holders participating in our Credential Maintenance Program (CMP) will be able to:

  • Have immediate access to an electronic certificate in the Practitioner Portal for each credential updated by participation in the CMP.
  • Order a printed certificate and wallet card through the Practitioner Portal at the current fee of $25 for certificates and $10 for wallet cards when the CMP has been completed.

Digital certificates are accessed in the Practitioner Portal from the left navigation menu by selecting My Documents, then clicking on Certificates. In addition, NBRC provides instructions for accessing the digital version of NBRC credential certificates by email to newly credentialed practitioners and onscreen to individuals after completing the Credential Maintenance Program.
