Message from the President and CEO

We hope the new year brings everyone a refreshed beginning with renewed optimism for brighter days. Over the past year, we’ve been able to reunite with our loved ones and friends, giving us all much-needed positivity. We’ve learned that even in our darkest moments hope will prevail when we band together. We’re proud of each of you and the heroism you’ve shown and continue to show on the frontlines.

Last year, we had several notable successes worth mentioning. Each one implemented with the intent of spreading awareness about the shortage of RTs, improving your testing experience, and providing more communication platforms for you to use.

  • Ongoing promotion of our MoreRTs national campaign
  • Added more exams to live remote proctoring list
  • Continued growth of our social media presence by adding Instagram
  • Launched live chat function to our website

This year, we’re enthusiastic in continuing our efforts to increase awareness of the need for more RTs. We believe our collaboration with the AARC and CoARC will further boost our message and, in time, increase RT enrollment across the nation. We’re so thankful to the RTs who’ve shared their stories with us to help the cause. We look forward to continuing to hear from RTs who are willing to step up and support our campaign through their experiences. It’s your stories that speak to others on a level we cannot which can make a big difference in growing the number of practitioners.

2022 brings us an exciting, new mini campaign to spread awareness of the need for more respiratory care educators. The world needs more RTs AND more RT educators. You can choose a different route in the respiratory care profession and truly make a difference by teaching and inspiring others. We have a feeling this year will bring a revitalized sense of faith and happiness. We look forward to another year of continued excellence in the respiratory care profession.

Cheers,
