Giving Back in 2022

At the NBRC, our social purpose is centered on caring, joining and giving. Last year, we were overjoyed to be able to collect items and donate funds to those in need of assistance in the greater Kansas City area, as well as nationally supporting organizations related to respiratory care.

We also donate on behalf of each staff member every year to the charitable organization of their choice. Here’s a look at all the organizations and programs we helped in 2022.

Last year, as part of our 2022 corporate social responsibility initiative known as “Choose to Give,” we invested more than $2 million in critically needed scholarship funds for respiratory care education programs across the United States. More than 400 Commission on Accreditation for Respiratory Care (CoARC) accredited programs each received $5,000 to use toward scholarships for current and future respiratory care practitioners. We also donated $20,000 to the Coalition for Baccalaureate and Graduate Respiratory Therapy Education (CoBGRTE) to help fund two doctoral scholarships. We were thrilled to have an opportunity to give back in a big way!
