The State Licensure Agencies link provides the contact information including mailing address, telephone number and e-mail address (if available) for states that regulate the practice of respiratory care.
The NBRC has automated the National Respiratory Care Disciplinary Database. The National Respiratory Care Disciplinary database was created in a joint effort by the NBRC and the American Association for Respiratory Care (AARC). The database is a repository for final disciplinary actions taken against respiratory care practitioners by state licensure agencies, the NBRC and AARC. Disciplinary actions are considered final after all appeals have been exhausted; pending actions or appeals are not maintained in the database.
Information in the online national disciplinary database is provided by state licensure agencies that have signed an agreement with the NBRC and AARC to participate in the National Respiratory Care Disciplinary Database. State licensure agencies are also responsible for notifying the NBRC when an action is cleared or reinstatement occurs. Ultimately, the national database serves as a central clearinghouse for final disciplinary actions taken against respiratory care practitioners nationwide.
This information is available to participating state licensure agencies only and is password protected.
